Reaching Out to Help Those That Rely On Us

Appliance Repair of South Lyon is a sponsor of The Howell Nature Center. They believe, as we do, that nature is for all of us to enjoy and maintain, including the wildlife that rely on it.

But beyond that, we also spend much of our efforts helping The Humane Society of Livingston County and The Last Chance Rescue. Whether wild or domesticated, animals play a vital role in our lives.

But all of these fine organizations need your help to continue the excellent work they do. That’s why we are reaching out to you.

Make a donation to any of these organizations and we will match it!

Or if you prefer, you can donate any unused, working appliance that you have and we will pick it up for free and donate the proceeds to whichever of these organizations you choose. If you do not make a designation, the donations will be divided evenly between them.

We would like to send out a special Shout Out to the following to thank her for their donations for such a wonderful cause, The Last Chance Rescue in Howell.

A Message From The Howell Nature Center

This Owl was rescued on Friday morning, 1/12/17. His leg was caught in the trap shown. You can only imagine the pain and suffering this poor animal went through.  He is recovering at the Howell Nature center and will soon be able to rejoin his friends in the wild. NEVER use a trap for any reason!

Humane Society of Livingston County

Humane Society of Livingston County

Our mission is to assist the community by providing pet adoption services, lost and found assistance, and education on humane treatment, responsible pet ownership and overpopulation of companion animals.

Our Goal – Saving Lives!

There are many reasons animals end up in shelters. Financial hardships, personal health problems, or death of an owner often leave very few options for people to keep their pets. The majority of animals coming into our shelter are surrendered by owners who can no longer care for their pets. Our shelter provides peace of mind for these pet owners as well as a safe haven, compassion, and medical care for lost, abandoned, abused, or neglected animals until we can find a suitable, loving home for each one.
